Vintage & High-Value Trading Card Collectibles

1. General Overview

These Standard Terms and Conditions govern all transactions, shipments, and services provided by Crown Rare & Co in connection with the sale, purchase, and delivery of vintage and high-value trading card collectibles, including but not limited to sealed booster packs, booster boxes, blister packs, theme decks, and graded cards.

By placing an order or engaging in any transaction with Crown Rare & Co, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the terms outlined herein, as well as the supplementary policies referenced in this document.

Crown Rare & Co specialises in authentic vintage and high-value Pokémon and trading card products. Due to the exceptional nature and value of these items — often ranging from five to six figures — additional policies apply as separate supplementary documents and form part of the overall agreement.

2. Definitions

Heavy Pack: A factory-sealed vintage booster pack that has been weighed and identified as containing a holographic card or heavy hit card. Heavy packs are clearly labelled as such at the time of purchase.

Light Pack: A factory-sealed vintage booster pack that has been weighed and is unlikely to contain a holographic card. Light packs are not covered by the Guaranteed Holo Insurance.

Crown Rare & Co Seal: A proprietary tamper-evident seal applied by Crown Rare & Co to heavy packs before shipping, serving as proof that the pack has not been opened or tampered with since leaving our facility.

Guaranteed Holo Insurance: The insurance policy covering heavy packs, guaranteeing a holographic card or better. Full details are provided in the separate Heavy Pack Insurance Policy document.

Package Video Verification: The mandatory two-way video documentation process for shipment packaging and unboxing. Full details are provided in the separate Package Video Verification Insurance Policy document.

3. Products & Authenticity

All products sold by Crown Rare & Co are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. Every item is carefully inspected for tampering, counterfeiting, and condition issues before being listed for sale. This authenticity guarantee is backed by a full money-back policy if any product is found to be inauthentic.

Detailed descriptions, photographs, and condition information are provided for all items prior to sale. By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges they have reviewed all available information regarding the item and accepts its condition as described.

Due to the vintage nature of our products, minor signs of wear consistent with age — such as light edge whitening on sealed packs, minor wrapper creasing, or age-related toning — are to be expected and do not constitute grounds for a return or dispute unless such conditions were not disclosed prior to sale.

4. Orders & Payments

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. Prices are quoted in the agreed-upon currency at the time of sale and are final unless otherwise negotiated in writing.

Payment must be received in full before any item is packaged or shipped. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of purchase. Any applicable taxes, customs duties, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Crown Rare & Co reserves the right to cancel any order if payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, or if there is reasonable suspicion of fraud or unauthorised activity.

5. Heavy Packs & Guaranteed Holo Insurance

Heavy packs sold by Crown Rare & Co come with Guaranteed Holo Insurance, meaning the pack is expected to contain a holographic card or better. If a heavy pack does not contain a holographic card, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the pack’s purchase price, subject to the conditions outlined in the separate Heavy Pack Insurance Policy.

To qualify for the Guaranteed Holo Insurance, the buyer must open the heavy pack on a continuous, unedited video, clearly showing the intact Crown Rare & Co seal before breaking it on camera, then opening the pack and displaying all contents. Full details of the mandatory video opening procedure, technical requirements, and claim process are provided in the Heavy Pack Insurance Policy document.

Packs not labelled as “Heavy” at the time of purchase are considered light packs and are not covered by the Guaranteed Holo Insurance. Light packs are unlikely to contain a holographic card, and no refund will be issued based on the contents of a light pack.

6. Shipping & Delivery

All shipments are handled through reputable carriers including but not limited to UPS and DHL. Shipping costs, insurance premiums, and estimated delivery timelines will be communicated to the buyer prior to dispatch.

Due to the high value of items shipped, all packages are fully insured for their declared value and are subject to the Package Video Verification Insurance Policy. Both parties — Crown Rare & Co and the buyer — must comply with the video documentation procedures outlined in that policy for insurance coverage to remain valid.

Estimated delivery dates are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Crown Rare & Co is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, weather events, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

7. Package Video Verification

All shipments are subject to the Package Video Verification Insurance Policy. Under this policy:

Crown Rare & Co will: Record and send the buyer a video showing the item being packaged, sealed, labelled, and weighed before dispatch. This video serves as the baseline evidence of the item’s condition at the time of shipping.

The buyer must: Record a continuous, unedited video when collecting or receiving the shipment from the carrier (UPS, DHL, etc.). This video must show the sealed package, inspection of tamper-evident seals, the full unboxing process, and a comparison of the contents against the seller’s packaging video.

Full compliance with the Package Video Verification Insurance Policy is mandatory for any shipping insurance claim to be valid. If the buyer fails to record the required unboxing video, or if the video is edited, paused, or interrupted, shipping insurance coverage is automatically voided. Full details are provided in the separate Package Video Verification Insurance Policy document.

8. Returns & Refunds

Due to the high-value, collectible, and limited nature of the items sold by Crown Rare & Co, all sales are final unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the transaction or unless covered under the Guaranteed Holo Insurance or Package Video Verification Insurance Policy.

Heavy Packs: Refunds for heavy packs that do not contain a holographic card are processed under the Guaranteed Holo Insurance, subject to the mandatory video opening procedure. Full details are in the Heavy Pack Insurance Policy.

Shipping Damage or Tampering: If an item arrives damaged or shows signs of tampering, the buyer must notify Crown Rare & Co within 48 hours of delivery, providing the required unboxing video and photographic evidence. Claims are processed under the Package Video Verification Insurance Policy.

All Other Products: Return and refund requests for products not covered by the above policies are considered on a case-by-case basis. All returned products must be in their original, unopened condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error by Crown Rare & Co.

Refunds, if approved, will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.

9. Limitation of Liability

Crown Rare & Co’s total liability in connection with any transaction shall not exceed the purchase price of the item in question. Crown Rare & Co is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to any transaction.

Crown Rare & Co is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay caused by third-party carriers, customs authorities, or events of force majeure including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, government restrictions, pandemics, or civil unrest.

10. Supplementary Policies

The following supplementary policies form an integral part of this agreement. Buyers are required to read, understand, and comply with all applicable supplementary policies before completing a purchase:

a) Heavy Pack Insurance Policy: Governs the Guaranteed Holo Insurance for heavy booster packs, including the mandatory video opening procedure, the Crown Rare & Co seal requirements, the claim process, and conditions that void coverage.

b) Package Video Verification Insurance Policy: Governs the two-way video documentation process for the packaging and receipt of all shipments. Establishes the seller’s packaging video obligations and the buyer’s mandatory unboxing video requirements, as well as conditions for valid insurance claims.

Failure to adhere to the procedures outlined in these supplementary policies may void insurance coverage and affect the buyer’s eligibility for refunds or claims.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or any transaction, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to mediation or arbitration as mutually agreed upon by both parties.

12. Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal and transactional information provided by the buyer will be handled with strict confidentiality. Crown Rare & Co does not share, sell, or distribute buyer information to third parties except as required for shipping, payment processing, insurance claims, or legal compliance.

Video documentation collected under the Heavy Pack Insurance Policy and Package Video Verification Insurance Policy is used solely for verification and insurance claim purposes and will not be shared publicly without the buyer’s consent.

13. Amendments

Crown Rare & Co reserves the right to update or modify these terms and any supplementary policies at any time. Buyers will be notified of any material changes. Continued engagement in transactions after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and all supplementary policies shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Limassol, Cyprus.
