HEAVY PACK INSURANCE POLICY

Crown Rare & Co

Guaranteed Holo Insurance for Heavy Booster Packs

Effective Date: February 24, 2026

1. Purpose

This Heavy Pack Insurance Policy is a supplementary document to the Crown Rare & Co Standard Terms and Conditions. It establishes the guarantee, verification, and insurance procedures that apply specifically to heavy booster packs sold by Crown Rare & Co. Due to the high-value vintage nature of these packs, strict procedures must be followed to ensure both buyer protection and the validity of any insurance claims.

2. What Is a Heavy Pack?

A heavy pack is a factory-sealed vintage booster pack that has been weighed and identified as containing a holographic card or heavy hit card. Heavy packs are sold separately from light packs and are clearly labelled as “Heavy” at the time of purchase.

While pack weighing is a widely accepted practice within the collecting community, it is not an exact science. In rare cases, a pack identified as heavy may not contain a holographic card due to inconsistencies in original print runs or manufacturing variances. This insurance policy exists to protect the buyer in such cases, provided all verification procedures are followed.

3. The Crown Rare & Co Heavy Pack Guarantee

Every heavy pack sold by Crown Rare & Co comes with Guaranteed Holo Insurance. This means that if a pack labelled and sold as a heavy pack does not contain a holographic card or better, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price of that pack, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

CRITICAL: GUARANTEED HOLO INSURANCE

This guarantee is only valid if the buyer follows the mandatory video opening procedure outlined in Section 4 of this policy. Failure to comply with the video requirements will automatically void the guarantee and no refund will be issued.

4. Mandatory Video Opening Procedure

To qualify for the Guaranteed Holo Insurance, the buyer must open the heavy pack on video following the exact procedure outlined below. This video serves as the sole proof of the pack’s contents and is required for any claim to be processed.

Step 1 — Show the Sealed Pack: Before opening, the buyer must clearly show the sealed booster pack on camera, including the Crown Rare & Co tamper-evident seal affixed to the pack. The seal must be clearly visible and intact.

Step 2 — Break the Crown Rare & Co Seal on Camera: The buyer must show themselves physically breaking the Crown Rare & Co seal on camera. The act of breaking the seal must be clearly visible in the video. This confirms that the pack has not been previously opened or tampered with since leaving our facility.

Step 3 — Open the Booster Pack: The buyer must then open the booster pack on camera, removing the cards and displaying the contents clearly. All cards should be shown, with particular attention to the rare slot to confirm whether a holographic card is present.

Step 4 — Show All Contents: The buyer must display the full contents of the pack on camera, clearly showing every card pulled. If a holographic card is present, the guarantee is fulfilled. If no holographic card is present, the buyer may file a claim using this video as evidence.

5. Video Technical Requirements

MANDATORY: CONTINUOUS, UNEDITED VIDEO

The video must be a single, continuous recording from start to finish. The video must NOT be stopped, paused, edited, cut, spliced, or interrupted at any point. Any break in the recording will automatically void the Guaranteed Holo Insurance and no refund or claim will be processed.

Continuity: The video must be one single, uninterrupted recording. It must run continuously from the moment the sealed pack is shown to the moment all contents are displayed. If the video is stopped and restarted at any point, the insurance is voided.

Quality: The video must be of sufficient quality for all details to be clearly visible, including the Crown Rare & Co seal, the pack artwork, and all card faces. A minimum resolution of 720p (HD) is required.

Lighting: The pack must be opened in a well-lit environment where all details are clearly visible. Dark, blurry, or obscured footage will not be accepted.

Seal Visibility: The Crown Rare & Co seal must be clearly shown intact before it is broken. If the seal is not visible or has already been broken before the video starts, the insurance is voided.

Timeliness: The video must be recorded at the time the pack is opened. Videos recorded after the pack has already been opened will not be accepted under any circumstances.

6. The Crown Rare & Co Seal

Every heavy pack sold by Crown Rare & Co is secured with a proprietary tamper-evident seal bearing the Crown Rare & Co branding. This seal is applied by our team before the pack is shipped and serves as proof that the pack has not been opened, tampered with, or altered since leaving our facility.

The seal must remain intact until the buyer is ready to open the pack on video. If the seal is broken, missing, or shows signs of tampering before the video opening, the buyer must contact Crown Rare & Co immediately before proceeding. Opening a pack with a compromised seal without first contacting us may affect insurance eligibility.

7. Filing a Guaranteed Holo Insurance Claim

If a heavy pack does not contain a holographic card or better, the buyer may file a claim for a full refund of the pack’s purchase price. To file a valid claim, the following steps must be completed:

Step 1: Contact Crown Rare & Co within 48 hours of opening the pack to notify us of the claim.

Step 2: Submit the complete, unedited video of the pack opening as described in Sections 4 and 5 of this policy.

Step 3: Provide your order number and the specific pack details (set name, pack art, etc.).

Step 4: Retain all cards pulled from the pack until the claim has been reviewed and resolved.

Once the video and claim details are received, Crown Rare & Co will review the submission. If the claim is valid and all procedures have been followed, a full refund of the pack’s purchase price will be issued. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of claim approval.

8. Conditions That Void the Guarantee

The Guaranteed Holo Insurance is automatically voided if any of the following occur:

No Video: The buyer did not record a video of the pack opening.

Interrupted Video: The video was stopped, paused, or interrupted at any point during recording.

Edited Video: The video has been edited, spliced, filtered, cut, or altered in any way.

Seal Not Shown: The Crown Rare & Co seal was not clearly shown intact before being broken on camera.

Seal Already Broken: The Crown Rare & Co seal was already broken or missing before the video recording began.

Late Claim: The buyer did not contact Crown Rare & Co within 48 hours of opening the pack.

Late Video Submission: The opening video was not submitted within the required timeframe.

Cards Not Retained: The buyer has disposed of, traded, or sold the cards from the pack before the claim is resolved.

10. Important Notes

Pack weighing, while widely practised and accepted in the vintage trading card community, is not a guaranteed science. Weight variances can occur due to differences in ink density, card stock, glue application, and other manufacturing variables across different print runs and sets. The Guaranteed Holo Insurance exists specifically to protect buyers against these rare variances.

Crown Rare & Co takes the authenticity and integrity of every pack we sell extremely seriously. All packs are genuine, factory-sealed vintage products. Our insurance policy is our commitment to standing behind the heavy pack classification we assign to every pack we sell.

If you have any questions about this policy, the video opening procedure, or the Crown Rare & Co seal, please contact us before opening your pack.
